Just a quick report on Lake of the Woods. Just got back Tuesday night (19th) fishing the northeast end. Had great luck around Scotty's, Kipling and Manitou islands in 33-45 feet of water, adjacent to a nearby hump, with a jig & minnow. Many in the 17-22 inch range.

Couldn't believe the smallmouth either! The biggest was 18-3/4" and in the neighborhood of five pounds. Jumbo perch around too and all at the same depths (?).

Water is extremely green with the algae and I suggest respooling every night if you're seriously fishing. The stuff dries out and really goofs up the reels. Good luck!
