Anyone out there using compressed oxygen systems in their livewell for tournaments? If so, can you tell me what the Coast Guard stipulations are for carrying a cylinder full of oxygen on a boat? Thanks

I carry a two liter bottle that I occasionaly shoot to my minnies.I'm not aware of any regulations regarding it's use.Use common sense as you would with gas. If you know something I don't,let me know..

I carry 10 or 20 pound bottles in my boat. From what I hear they must be in a compartment(that does not have fuel or batteries) or strapped down (I use Rod Saver straps).

I use a system from Oxygen Systems from Texas, anyone remember Oxy Dave? Well he sells Oxygen airation systems for boats, he may have been obnixous, but his system works well.

I guess my concern was with the Coast Gurard. Transporting compressed gas, especially something as volitile as O2 seems to have more potential for danger. I just wondered if there was a specification or standard to stay legal. Last thing I need is a ticket for trying to keep my catch alive.
