I was cruising through Meinkes Marina a while back, and noticed 3 or 4 of these very rugged looking unpainted, aluminum boats. They were about 16 or 17' long, pretty deep, and I think maybe had a center console. Does anyone know who makes them? It's about time to put the I/O away till next year, and am looking for a tough little "river boat", to get me through the winter. Thanks in advance, DennisW
You know, "those" guys-

Rough Neck makes a utility boat like you're describing. The National Park Service uses them. About 8 inches deeper than any boat I have ever seen in it's length, the aluminum is about twice as thick as others as well. I would assume that it is rather spendy on the cost side.

The boats you are seeing and askimg about are made by a company called "Pacific" From what I have been told they are an all welded construction with heavy guage aluminum (Like 1/8th inch or something)
I think I saw a dealer sign or some type of advertisement for them at Walleye Willies on the east side of the cutkind of kitty corner to the Anchor point gas docks. If they aren't a dealer maybe they can at least tell you where you can get them.
I know they aren't cheap but then you get what you pay for too.
Hope this helps.
