The best thing you can do to learn alot fast is to find someone to fish with. I regularly take guys and kids out that are new to the game, and I'm sure you can find someone who fishes walleyes friend, co-worker, etc.)if you tell them that you would like to learn. I take it as an honor to share some of my knowledge, and I think that lots of others would too.
Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask alot of questions here too.

If you live near Portland Oregon the there are two great rsources:
The 1st Thursday each month the Lower Columbia Walleye Club meets at Floyd Light Middle school, in the caffeteria. This is located just off I-205. The school is one block south of Stark street on 107th, across from the police station. Meeting time is 7:oo pm.
Fisherman's marine supply at Hayden Meadows also has walleye seminars on the second tuesday each month at 6:30 pm.
Come and join us. Jeff
