Anyone have details on this? Last I heard it was in Green Bay, Oct 3-7 and they were thinking of allowing non-RLC boats to fill the field.
Are the WWA or PTW circuits qualifying events? How do you register as an amateur?

As far as I know it is in Green Bay on October 3-7. Yes the PWT is a qualifying event, as are about 35 other tournaments or circuits. To go as a pro you must one of the two highest finishing Ranger, Crestliner, or Lund owners to fish a qualifying event. A pro pays 1500 us to enter and a co angler(kind of like an amateur) pays 750. If a team is fishing and they both own qualifying boats and are one of the two highest teams, one angler may fish as a pro, and one may fish the co angler division. It would make no sense to me to let non RCL boats to enter because it would defeat the purpose of the tournament with the sponsorship. I will be trying as hard as i can to qualify as a pro, and if I make it, hope to see you there. Chris K

How do they determine who the top two places are? My assumption was that I had to finish 1st or 2nd in the tourney. From your messages I get the impression that it's the top 2 qualifying boats in the tourney. For example, last year's NAWA Mille Lacs event I finished 11th overall. I know that at least one guy that finished ahead of me was a qualified boat (Herrick). If no other RCL qualified boats finished higher than my team, would I be qualified for the RCL event even though I finished 11th overall? And would they have notified me?
Thanks.

Jeff, You need to contact Sonny Reynolds at Operation Walleye. He is the director and will be able to tell you if your in. No they will not be contacting you, it's your responsibity to check and enter. You can call him at 270-362-5225. Your wrong about needing to place first or second to qualify, you may be 25th and still be in if the guys ahead of you don't enter.
