What's better a flasher or LCD finder, and why?

depends on what your looking for. if you've spent many years using and learning how a flasher reads what it reads, you would probably prefer a flasher. if you like to see more history and more of a picture you would tend to prefer a lcd. the newer lcd's like pin point and lowrance etc....they have more power and pixels and can show great detail. i still prefer a older style lowrance flasher vs the new lcd flashers and color flashers. pin point and lowrance are now boasting that their lcd units are real time flashers also. for most, you'd be better spending time learning a lcd unit. the more you use it and check what it's telling you, the more you will believe in the unit. if you don't go cheap here, you'll keep your unit for years and catch more fish and run safer.
