I have a Smoker 18ft and am considering adding a trim/tilt guage. Had one one previous 16 ft and found useful. Cost about a $100. Dealer sez waste of money on a fishing boat. What is your opinion?
Thanks
I have one on my 16.5' fishing boat -- boat was rigged with it new or I might not have spent the bucks, but I sure use it a lot. Based on this experience, there will be one on my next rig too.

I also have one on my 17.5' fishing boat. It came with the boat. I like it and would have it again. I find it helps me get to the correct trim level quickly based upon the gauge setting. Then I adjust it a bit further.

I had one installed on my 19ft tiller and use it for quickly trimming the motor for optimum RPMs.
