View Full Version : Team walleye 1 or 2 day tourneys?
Recently I entered the Detroit River tournament, saw it listed as April 29th, April 30th, I paid the 125 dollars asssuming it was a two day event.
I got the confirmation back from USFA stating it was two- one day events back to back, and I still owed 105 dollars.
I don't have a problem with this, I just think it is unusual? The advantages are it gives you two chances to win I guess.
Did anybody else get confused or am I the only? I'm gonna enter both as I want to fish it, just wondering, any thoughts???

They do the same thing in MInn. It allows The average weekend fisherman to fish more tournaments with less travel expense.. Its a lot easier to have 3 weekends with 2 days than 6 weekends with one day.

I DONT THINK THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS FORMAT HOWEVER, I AGREE, I WAS CONFUSED ALSO IT APPEARS THAT THE EVENT WAS A TWO DAY TOURNEY W/ JUST THE TWO DAY ENTRY FEE. DOES IT REALLY GIVE THE "AVG." GUY A BETTER CHANCE IN TWO ONE DAY EVENTS AS OPPOSED TO A TWO DAY EVENT? OR IS IT JUST EASIER TO SCHEDULE BACK TO BACK EVENTS IN SAME LOCATION AND CALL THEM SEPERATE TOURNEYS? I ENJOY FISHING THIS CIRCUIT SO KEEP UP THE GOOD GUYS!!!!!! ANOTHER QUICK QUESTION DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT TEAMS FROM OTHER CIRCUITS SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO USE THEIR HOME POINTS FOR OTHER CIRCUITS TO COMPETE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP??

IT APPEARS TO ME THAT A TEAM FROM ONE CIRCUIT SAY, ILLINOIS, CAN FISH THE OHIO CIRCUIT ALSO AND USE THE POINTS THEY GAINED FROM FISHING THE OHIO CIRCUIT IN CONJUNCTION W/ THE ILLINOIS CIRCUIT FOR A COMBINATION OF TOTAL POINTS TO QUALIFY FOR THEIR HOME REGION CHAMPIONSHIP. DOES THIS SEEM RIGHT TO A TEAM THAT ONLY FISHES ONE CIRCUIT AND HOPES TO QUALIFY FOR THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP W/OUT HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN MORE POINTS????
