am about to rig new boat any rules to follow when rigging the lms350a like antena placement... etc thanks mitch

Just put the GPS antenna where there's no interference from trolling motor, boat top, marine radio antenna, etc. Mine's on my bow next to trolling motor, but I've seen them on the gunnel on rear of boat and also on the gunnel forward of console.

Be sure to wire it directly to the battery with an inline fuse, I wired mine initally to the boats wiring, everytime I cranked the motor it shut off the GPS module. Apparently a small change in the amps is enough to disturb the module. Also, be careful around other antenna's can get interference.

If you run a marine radio, try to keep as much distance between the radio and the 350 as possible.
