View Full Version : Snowbound in New York...
It hit the foot mark long ago and still rising. The wind's starting to get into it so here I'll stay with my Bass Pro catalog. (This could be a dangerous situation... Being snowed in with the catalog, I mean) I'm looking at the seat caddy's on page 277 and wondering how they attach to the seat. Are these just for the pedestal seats or do they attach to your permanent seats???? Neat idea and maybe it would keep me from tripping over something someday :-) Anyone have these???? This could become a very big order if it snows all day long...
How have the rest of you east coast people fared???? Hey, Driftr, you shoveling :-)

Northcentral Pa right on NY border we have 3" snow. It all stayed east. Friends visiting Long Island are socked in with nearly 2'!
Looking thru the new BP myself and not too impressed. Cant imagine outfit that big with no bottom bouncers in catalog. They also quit carrying the Offshore Tackle... no boards, releases etc. All they carry are no name boards and Yellow Birds. Maybe if they would get out of the clothing end they could carry enough fishing inventory so you could order what you need. Looks like Cabelas will get my money this season.
Go sledding, it's cheaper :-)

In all fairness to Bass Pro, their main target is the bass fisherman. But I do still find a few good things for walleye.

I don't do much with BassPro anymore. I use to hit that place every time I was in Springfield, Mo. They got nice clothes and stuff but pretty high priced. Someone said they cater to the bass fishermen. A store like this should consider all fishermen. I got tired of empty shelves. Theres a little bait store over in Norfork, Arkansas on Rt.5 south of Mt. Home that has a better selection of Reef Runners and Deep Little Runners than BP.
Everyone have a Happy New Year, Popeye
P.S. When I said empty shelves I ment popular baits etc used on Bull Shoals Lake.

We lucked out..the biggie missed us by a few miles. We may have gotten 4 or 5", but it's real light stuff. We actually went down and found some open water on the river yesterday. Now we just need a few more degrees to keep the line and guides from freezing! Hey Ness...are you entering the Dunkirk PWT this coming August? We need some more NY Reps! Good Fishing, Sluggo
