While watching a fishing show a couple of years ago about ice fishing for perch on Devils Lake I noticed they were using live Grass Shrimp for bait. Does anyone out there know of any bait supply houses that handle these little tid-bits.
Thanks,Randy

Don't know about the live shrimps but Uncle Josh sells packaged grass shrimp. Help from the Hopeless

Thanks, I have used the pre-packaged shrimp with limited results. What I'm really after is the live version.
Thanks again.

Doubt any mid-west bait shop would handle live grass shrimp. We use them for sturgeon and perch fishing. They seem to want to die after about 12 hours from the tanks at the bait shop.

I've seen them around, can't remember where exactly, it was a regular bait shop though, availability probably depends on the time of year. They work great if you can find them.
I've kept them overnight in minnow buckets before, but that's always at temps around 40 F. I don't think they do well if they get warm. I don't know where you'd get them though, I catch them myself if I want them.
