Went to Pickwick Dam, (TN - AL. state line), fished 3 days in the TN. River. Sauger from all of Kentucky Lake run up the river in the winter months, and winter within a few miles of the dam. Fishing at the dam and lock was a little slow due to lack of water movement. We ran downriver 7 miles to a bend in the river adjacent to the Shiloh Civil War battleground and park. There is a deep area there of 35 to 47' depths. The fish were tight to the bottom, and we fished them with 1 oz. jigs and large shiners. Limited out every day, (15 fish, 14" minimum), avg. fish only about 2 lbs. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone is getting a bad case of cabin fever. Load up the boat and make the drive. ( 450 miles from Indy)
