Anybody fishing Huron pier or on the lake?

I was out fishing the pier, the light house and the west wall Thur. 12/30/99. Fished from approximartely 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.. Did not catch any thing and did not see anything caught. Talked with a few of the guys fishing the pier, all said they had not seen or heard of any fish being caught recently. I took the boat and hoped to fish out of it on 12/30/99, but the river was frozen and we could not put the boat in. I am sure the river is open now, but have not heard of anyone going out.
