Where are you from, sometimes you don't need to go east to catch steelhead. I caught a steelie while trolling west of the vermillion in October, and I've seen them caught in the Sandusky, both at Margaritaville and in Fremont.

I'm from the Columbus area. I have family in Olmsted Falls. We've fished the Rocky the past few winters, but haven't been out this winter yet. I'll post my results Monday morning!
