I am looking for a good place to fish tomorrow in the norther lower peninsula. I am new to Michigan and do not know where is best. I'm thinking maybe Houghton Lake. Does anyone have any info? Thanks!

Where abouts in Northern Michigan are you located? I am half way between Cadillac & Manitsee... I here that they are doing quite well over on Bear Lake and Portage Lake... but that is over by the big lake (Lake MI). How far are you from Cadillac...??? I here they are doing ok on Lake Mitchell.... but only about the time the street lights are coming on... and the bite doesn't last long....
