It's been ages since we brought sleds into canada. In the 70's and early 80's you didn't need a thing other than your sled registered which you already had. I would think now you need just registeration, proof of insurance, and ID. ID is big going into canada. Also if grandparents ever take your kids into canada, or good idea if a parent by themselves takes the kids in, bring a copy of they're birth certificate and a note from parents or the other parent verifying it's ok to take them. For more info on bringing sleds in, just call ahead to the canadian border crossing your going thru and confirm what you need. They usually and I emphasize usually are very helpful.

Minneman,
We take our sleds to Ontario each year lake trout fishing. Have never had any trouble going across the border with them. However, if you are going to do any trail riding you will need to obtain a nonresident trail permit. We only ride on the lakes we fish so we don't need them, but a friend said that the passes were over $100 canadian per sled. I would follow the previous advice and contact the MNR or border where you are crossing.
