Does anyone have a handle on what new technology Pinpoint is coming out with This year? At some point this season i would like to upgrade from a 68lb Beast Motorguide to a trolling motor that will help out on contour fishing. Am hoping that Pinpoint will have worked out some of the bugs i have read about on this site. By the way, does someone out there know where Pinpoint is manufactured? Thanks to a great site!

PinPoint is located in Tulsa Oklahoma the address is 1124 South Lewis Av. The moved to Tulsa approx 3 years ago from SanJose California. I would check some of the upcoming shows this spring for new technology. They have some new units in electronics coming out and some new things in the motor as well. Motorguide will also be coming out with some new motors that have pinpoint technology built in. Not the tracking but the ability to tie the electonics into a built in transducer.

And by the way I have had PinPoint for approx 6 years and have little or no problems. I believe a lot of the problems that users have is lack of knowlege of how the units work.

Improvements and new things seem to be always on the horizon. I'm looking forward to the GPS on the 7520. I find my 2900 SX to be dependable and it does everything that I need it to do. I also think that the foot pedal works great and actually reduces fatigue after a long day on the motor. I like the networked graphs so that I can see a bigger picture of what is below me. When drifting and jigging a break I feel that I can keep a better line by knowing at a glance what the depth is on the other end of the boat. There is no better system period.
