Anybody do any good off Catawba today? Got out late only hooked two, got one up. Heard the morning bite was better.

Fished 8:00-11:00 on Mouse island reef between Mouse island and South Bass island.Me and a friend took 20 (biggest one 22in)on silver with blue Swidish pimples.The Fish were about 3 feet off the bottem.No one else fished by use the whole time we were out.Good luck

Walleyewiz , I hope you know your stuff. The area your talking about is notorious for quick appearing currents that can cut the ice right out from under you. Be Careful, we don't need any bad news. Good catch!!!
Fished west of Catawba State Park Sat about 4mi.The bite was early caught 5 JACKS abt 2# Jigging Rapalas with half minnow,rainbow color.Ice was great 12in. Bite was great Fri. My buddies limited, and heard that lots of fish were caught.May give it a try Mon. Will keep a post. Be careful ice looks great to Green and islands. Good Luck, HUCK
