Ok, I give up. I have got to try some of these plugs, all of the praise they have recieved on here has become to much for me to fight. What are some of the best colors for clear water and fish that normally hit "firetiger" patterns?

I'm with you, Kevin, but how about colors for our stained and turbid Front Range reservoirs? Where are you fishing that is "ultra-clear?"

For your clear water presentation I would reccommend "Cheap Sunglasses", "Blue Chrome", "Fried Chicken", and "Chartreuse Pearl". For stained I would add to the "Firetiger", the following, "Flame", "Bubblegum" as well. You will find their phone number at their website. Give them a call they are nice people. Tight lines

I pulled reef runners alot this summer in ND reservoirs. Very
low water clarity. Firetiger's were by far the most productive.
I did have success on several other colors. Purple Demon, Mud Minnow, Chartreuse Pearl, and Black headed wonderbread.

I'll second the recommendation on the purple demons and black headed wonderbreads. I fish very muddy and/or off colored water and always pull at least one or the other in addition to my normal spread of hot-n-tots/rattletots. I'm not fully converted to the reefrunner madness yet. The "tots" still out fish'em in my home lake.( Lake Macatawa,Holland,Mi.)

The best color so far at Pueblo for me has been the rainbow trout color. Plain silver is not that bad either. It's hit or miss with walleye on these lures... no set pattern.

p.s. check out ebay for these lures...last year I picked up 40 of these lures for under 4.00 each

Several of the colors that have been mentioned are not listed on the Reefrunner web site (Chartreuse pearl, Cheap sunglasses, Fried chicken, Bubblegum). Are these discontinued or alternate names for the colors they do list? Also, the only source I have found is Cabela's and they only have a few colors. Bass Pro and Reed's web site does not list them. Where is the best site for a full selection? I haven't seen them locally here in Colorado. Thanks.

Fortunetly I live close to Cabelas (mitchel), but I also use http://www.anglerswarehouse.com/catalog/cart.cgi as for some of the other names haven't heard of them either

I didn't find those colors on the Reef Runner web-site but I guess if one were to call the company to place a phone in order they could tell you, and I know that the phone number in on the site.

As new colors constantly come out, your best bet would be talking to ReefRunner or a shop in the area. They do a good job on staying on top of what's hot and have good recommendations on what to use in varying water conditions.

You may not be able to "see" the colors before you buy - small risk, though. A good selection of dark and light shades as well as the metallics will set you up fine.

Den at the Sportsman's Outpost in Vermillion, OH is a great source of information and has lures available there. He also gives out "no B.S." advice and believes like I do, that you still have to go out and catch the fish. He will always take time to chat and answer all your questions - can't say enough about him - he can be reached at 1-888-855-9032.

Another place that has a large selection of ReefRunners is the Fisherman's Wharf in Port Clinton, OH. You can call them at 1-419-734-9002 April-November. HiWay Bait and Tackle also has a good selection, but I don't have their phone # off hand.

Give Den a call and you'll be glad you did.

Best of luck,
Bob

Checked that site. Not as good as you made it sound (atleast for the deep divers). They had twenty three colors, the actual Reef Runner site has 23 colors listed. Just letting everybody know.
