Lots of talk about Erie this week but nothing on the bay. Anyone going out past the cracks ?

Fished 8 miles out of Thomas Rd. approx.1/2 mile from end of the shipping channe, 27' of water, 20inches of ice lasty sat.2/12. My buddy got a 10.2 eye on a big shiner deadsticked. He lost one he said was bigger on a silver Do Jiggerw/red stripe. I lost a 5-6 lber on a gre/sil Do Jigger and had another stike on a #9 firetiger jigging rap, it was a very light bite that day. Three other guys we talked to had 2 fish between them.There is a pressure crack 5.3 miles out but it wasn't a problem last sat. However a friend of a friend was out there weds. and the crack is heaved up about 2' over the inside ice, also they had some snow last sun. and there is some slush now. I am going to Big Bay deNoc this weekend but if I was to go again I would try the west side of the bay at the Black Hole, or Sailboat bouys. Hope it helps.
