Just talked to Lowrance. The new units are not compatible with the old. Even the new GPS receivers are different unless your receiver LGC-12 is followed by an "S". The good news is you can use two different transducers next to each other without interferance because(according to them), they are on seperate frequencies. You can transfer data from the new units to the Global map 2000 with a 1/2 - 1 second delay, but if you hit a waypoint on the one unit you still need to hit waypoint on the other. If it sounds confusing to you, you are not alone my friend. Either way I still want one of these units, so I might end up selling my Global Map 2000, even though I just bought it a year ago.
