FISHED LAST 2 NIGHTS AT MOUNDWOOD STATE PARK,LOTS OF FISH BEING TAKEN IN ICE FREE AREA.WATER IS 6 FEET AVERAGE IN THIS AREA,1/16 OZ JIGS AND MINNOWS.FROM 4:00 TO DARK AFTER DARK SEEMS TO BE BEST.

How much ice is still on the lake? I fished throught the ice about 3 weeks ago. Everyone said the ice-out bite is tremendous.

there is still 8 inches of ice most places,we fished sat. night and everyone did well so i thought i would go early monday morning and have the place to myself and i did but,,,,,,,there was a 1/2 inch of ice all over so heck could fish under bridge in small area caught one have to go back to fishing in afternoon and night no ice then.good fishing,

Rooster,good of you to share your recent success with the rest of us.,Most guys are not willing to help another fisherman...keep up the good reports.I was interested to know if the ramp chanel are free of ice...are you guys fishing from boats or shore..,.ice pack???The last time I tried that fish event I was about two days late,lots of blood on ice too thin to get on.Thanks for the info

fishing at indian lake at moundwood state park is open water fishing from the bank no boat needed you will be fishing an inlet creek about 40 yards wide average depth is 6 feet,,,,,dont be decieved lots of fish here and lots of nice size as well.
