Just wanted to know if the ice is still coming down? what ramps are open ?
All ramps are open but there is still a little ice comming down.That is ramps that have some water.The ramp I launch at still has water but it is at a 45 degree angle.Better have a 4x4.
THE ST.JEAN RAMP WAS STLL CLOSED AS OF 3-3-00
THE WORD IS IT IS TO OPEN THIS WEEK.
LAKE ERIE METRO PARK SHOULD BE OPEN.
ELIZEBETH PARK USUALLY OPENS MARCH 15.

Put in at 7:00 a.m. and yes there was ice but It went anyway.It was easy to manouver through it and there were a dozen other boats that ended up over by sugar island and followed my path through the sheet of ice into the corner by the wall.I headed back around noon with 20 perch and not too bad in size.They were biting on minnows and a few took the worms.I didn`t catch one pike but the boats all around me did. Not hardly a sign of ice on the way back in, cause the wind blew it toward the north east up against shore.
Well now its time to clean them and sit down for a good first season fish dinner! MMMMMMMM!!!!!
