Two guys came in to weigh 8 fish at The Old Dutchman on Sunday at noon. All saugeye weighing in from 1 1/2 to a couple that were at the 5 lb mark. They fished the main lake. Other than where they were, which took some extracting, they didn't offer any more information. The bite is on!

I also fished for a couple of hours Sunday, did not land eight though. We hooked one and lost one off of the ledge by beach. We did not mark anything shallower than ten feet from ledges. We vertical jigged, jig and minnows right on ledge. Also, tried suspended cranks on the rip-rap at dam, no luck. The saugeye have been hitting suspended cranks on the dam, when a stiff north wind is present. Lake level is around eight feet low. Good luck.

Fished yesterday (3-8) for about 3 hours for saugeyes. Caught 5 in the vicinity of the dam; 2 were 12", 1-15",1-16", & 1-17". All were caught vertical jigging. The bite died at about 10:00. Had 1 more on north of the beach, but lost it near the boat. Not much on the crappie, but I spoke to 2 guys muskie fishing & both had caught 1 "small" fish each. The water north of Cheshire bridge was pretty dirty & the level is about 7-8 feet down. No problems launching wharsoever.
Tightlines,
Tim
