For any of you that fish "our" river or are interested...the river is still high and stained (it was above flood stage last Sunday), but the fish are here! Kept limits of nice eaters on both Monday and Tuesday, plus I released a 25 1/2 inch Hen. It's tough conditions, but the fish are there and it sure beats working! Good Fishing, Sluggo

I fish the river in Pa. What methods are you using? If jigs, then what color? I have had some decent success myself in the last few days.

Sam or Sluggo,
Where are you catching the eyes on the river. I live in Williamsport and would like to learn to fish the river. I just moved here in the winter and need alittle help. Lures and spots would give me a start, also where can I get maps of the river from the PA./ NY. line down to my home. Thanks for all your help.

Jerry,
Go to the "updates" page of this site. Look back to February 29. I wrote an article on Eastern Walleyes. Towards the end of the article, I talk about the Susquehanna. Also, on WalleyesInc.com I wrote an article about spring conditions on the Susquehanna that gives a little more detail. Feel free to e-mail me anytime. I have never fished the river around Williamsport, but live about an hour north and the fishing is good up here.

I usually fish the areas between Endwell and Owego,NY. This time of year it's mostly jigs and minnows or twister tails. With the water being a bit stained, I stick with the brighter colors. As for maps..can't help there..I've lived here for fifty years now and fished the river for most of them, so I've never felt the need for a map. Good Fishing, Sluggo
