If I trolled a drop weight with a three way swivel and a long leader to a hot'n'tot, would it be as effective as using leadcore line? Also, how have the walleye been biting this week? I am planning on going up Sunday if I can get my trailer lights working.

I really like the leadcore on Pymie. I also use bottombouncers too! They have a place when you want to troll shallow. If you want to try similar to what you are asking , go to snapweights. They are alot simpler than the leadcore & also very deadly on Pymie. :-)

The trouble with running Hot-n-tots on three ways is that with 8# test the large Tots run already at about 21ft @2 mph, and the smaller tots run at15-17 ft. So I would go with leadcore or change to a different lure....My 2 cents

If you run the 3 way with tots you better use a light weight or bring your checkbook because the only thing you will catch is the lake ( a lot of snags ). Check out valenos posts ( leadcorelenny ) use his methods he slays the eyes!

I just bought some leadcore line, what type of
leader should I use mono or steel and how long?
Should I use the 1/2 oz hot-n-tot for 18-21 ft of water? Thanks for any advice I am a rookie when
it comes to leadcore line.
