Weiner & I and his brother-in-law made it to Detroit River today and caught 6 eaters.I caught
a female that weighed approximately 11 lbs. Took lots of pictures and released her. I guess all you guys are right the river is really low. We were told that Elizabeth's Park will be open the first of April. See ya on the river.

We put in at the Trenton City Landing and had to go to the police station to get a permit and I was using chartreuse, jighead and twister with a night crawler. But caught most of the fish with minnows.
Good Luck

the guy at the local tackle shop said that the handliners were getting alot of muskies near the border(us/canada). he said that they were hitting plugs with any shiny purple on it. i'm not sure what the eyes aree hitting but if you would like to get some muskie it wont hurt to give it a try. i went out to the detroit river and i we got to good size males. i lost a huge female right at the boat she shook loose. we were using 1/2 ounce and 3/4 ounce jigs tipped with about 4-5 inch minnows. the eyes came on any jigs that had chartruese on it.
