Looking for some local opinion on the best lake and time to try for 10 pound 'eyes in June/July in Wyoming.

I would goto either Glendo or Pathfinder. Pathfinder fishes better in the early spring before they start letting lots of water go. Glendo is probably the most consistent walleye lake in Wyoming. I have never fished Boyson, but I have heard it is great. Long drive to Boyson from Denver.

Your best bet would be Seminoe. Closer to Denver too. Lots of small eyes but every now and then a 10 pounder pops up. Try it in late June or July.

You can listen to all the crap you want to about Wyoming walleyes. I've fished for them here over 30 years and have never personally seen one over eight. If you catch a four or five pounder be happy. I'm sure that you'll find lots of so called experts online that will tell you what you want to hear tho. If you want a sure thing, play the lotto.

Never listen to posts like Larry's. obvious reasons. 10 lbers are there no matter which mo. you fish.
Just happen to be looking at my Wyoming Walleye Circuit brochure this very moment! Here's dates for WWC's: Glendo 6/3-4, Boysen 6/24-25, Seminoe 7/22-23. If you're going, be awful fun to do it during one of those and meet everyone or even get in! I fished in WWC at Boysen in June one year and the big fish was 12.17 pounds! a whopper. they're always there, but naturally always harder to catch. see: http://www.walleyecentral.com/boysen98.htm
Man, if only Scott Golden had time to post. He'd tell you the real action in WY in Jun/Jul. He's annual regular on WWC circuit and (in my book) to be feared out there!
Thanks for the great info and web site Sheila. Of course the 10+'s are there. Either Larry's bitter 'cause he's never caught one or he doesn't want folks to come to Wyoming. I'm just looking to up my odds by timing it right. Went to Seminoe last year in early August and found the going tough. Still managed to take home some eaters.

No one ever mentions Pathfinder, am I the only one who ever fishes it? I have fished both Seminole and Pathfinder. Seminole is a great fishery especially for numbers, but I think the Walleyes in Pathfinder are on the average bigger and heavier. The DOW put shad in there last year to increase the prey numbers, just like they do at Glendo. I have fished all over Utah, Colo. and Wyoming and have never found better fishing for large trout than Pathfinder. Just curious if anyone else has ever fished there.

Gosh Neal, so funny you should mention that. I flew over it low one time, and thought it was the most beautiful secluded-looking Res. of all in WY! Said to myself, help-me I must fish there one day... Good to hear it's worthy place.

Alot of Pathfinder is Canyon in nature. This makes the fish hard to pattern and find. When you do go there make sure you have several days to explore it. When you figure it out, it will become one of your favorites. We caught 7 Browns between 23-27 inches there one day trolling. I like to troll shad raps because both the trout and walleyes will hit them.

Hey Sheila, How in the heck are ya?!?!?!? Yea, It's me, Andy. Guess what? A buddy of mine was telling me there was an article in "walleyehunter" about a guy catching another 13lb walleye out of Boulder Res.,(from his belly boat). I'll bet he hooted as loud as the guy we heard out there. Aaron and I are going up to Glendo for a week in June. Probably the 17th or so. Hope you and Pat are doing well. Keep in touch!
