I was using Power Pro for my ice reel, but it really holds on to the water. I'm needing to change, but want to stay with a superline.

What is the difference between the Micro Ice Fireline and the regular Fireline?

Does anyone know who carries it in the Denver/Metro area?

Don't know the difference between the two or where to get the micro fireline but I would give atleast the regular fireline a respectable endorsement. Its done well in teh 6/2 size for me. If you find out what exaclty the difference in between the two lines I would like to know.

Their is no difference between them except the micro comes in smaller spools to accomodate smaller reels.

I think it would be a good choice if you're not using a bobber stop, they tend slide a lot.

heres 3 cents. The differnce is which I think someone else has mention is the diameter is allot smaller. also on this line there is spoce to be protective coating one it for ice fishing for it doesnt fray whe hitting the side of you hole when the fish is taking line. I think. Another suggestion if you are going for panfish, what ever you do dont use over 2lb line. I have 2lb fireline one all 4 of my ice rods. Ive caught numurous amounts of 2-5lb northerns on this line without then fraying line or sanpping it. also catch walleyes with it without leaders. crappies, perch, and sunnies also. by the way. I havent lost a fish yet with this line. No kidding. One suggestion dont crank your darg down tight just becuase its a superline. But you probally already herd that. I also tried using my powerpro I use in the summer for ice fishing. deffinatley a differnce between the two.

Spoke to Chip Leer at Arlington show, asked same question. As posted earlier, difference is package size for small ice fish reels.

I generally use the plastic, lets wrap the line around it' stopper, altho I have used the Wasp. Do you have a way to stop those from sliding? If I didn't have my Zercom I could have sat for a long time with my bait at 3 ft rather than 15. Ideas?
