heading there fri, whats the best bet up to dam or down to pepin. also how do you get to the landing off of 61 on mn. side thanks.

hey ed,

there is a great ramp just north of downtown red wing. There are signs along the road. There is also a decent launch east of downtown redwing just over the bridge leading east out of downtown. This would be on the east side of the river and then a mile or so to the northeast along the highway. well marked can't miss it. Usually jig and minnow combos drifting current along the banks is what gets em. Also vertical jigging around the wing ****s below the dam north of redwing is good too. But usually really busy on weekends if the fish are biting. good luck

Check out "#####.com" for all Redwing information you could possibly want. Ive heard that most of the better recent reports are coming from near the head of the lake. Everything from jig and a minnow to cranks on three ways are catching fish. Good Luck!
