Heading to the Detroit River Sat. and Sun. Never fished it before. How's the bite and where's a good place to start? thanks for the help.

If having never been to the Detroit river I feel I need to warn you about the Can. borders DO NOT fish any where near the boundry line unless you have a Can. licence. Also watch out for skag snatchin monsters. The water is very low so go slow and watch that depth. It depends on what section of the river you want to fish for where to go fishin'. I fish the top of the river down to the ambasador bridge and launch at the foot of St jean st. Assuming that you do not have a Can. lic. Places to try on the american side are, off the sea wall at the mouth of the river. In front of the roster tail, the tail waters of the Bell isle bridge, Madoosa cement plant, and in front of the ren-cen down to the joe arena.
