I fished Trenton Channel Saturday morning and early afternoon. Only caught three eyes and about 2 dozen White Bass.
According to the guy that takes your money at Elizibeth Park, "the runs officially over".
I would agree with him.
I did not see more that a couple fish caught all day beside the stripers.
Time to head out to the lake for me.
Good Fishin.

its the big lake from now on, I'll visit the river monthly to catch a few bass/pike/eyes, but I'll be on Erie from now until August or so.
Good Fishin Dan

Don't give up on the river. That guy who takes the money at Elizibeth park knows nothing. 2 or 3 times he told me the fishing was no good and I went out and got a limit. Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening I went up around Ecorse and got 10,12 and 5 respectively. May is the BEST month for eyes on the river. The big ones are mostly gone but theirs tons of great eaters. Handlining in the evening is my favorite method. Don't be afraid to get in that shallow water. I catch them in 4 feet.

Went out last saturday and got eleven. We were down by chene park and a bit at the roostertail.
They were real spread out. We lost a few right at the top, or we would have limited by 12:30
by the way, we pull wire with pencil plugs.
