Mille Lacs Sand for Opener?

Any ideas or opinions?? Would the sand be
a waste of time this opener - should a guy
head out to the mud right away? Just trying
to put plan A together...

I wouldn't rule out any area's this time of year. Best bet is to study for awhile with your electronics. Find the forage species in abundance, and the eyes will follow come feeding time.
