how is the pan fishing and walleye doing this time of the month hardly ever fish the lakes are they worth putting the boat in

I was on Mendota on Saturday evening. Fishing wasn't great - caught one 21 inch cat fish, and had a few bites. Worth it? Beat the heck out of sitting at home and reading posts on Walleye Central. Water temp varied from 63 to 71.
Sunday I switched to Lake Wisconsin, still no luck, but actually had more jet skis and pleasure boaters zipping past me. Water temp was 71 to 74.
