I need a report for S. Basin of Erie... straight out from Bolles Harbor and Luna Pier... still in MI waters... I grew up in Luna Pier but I now reside in Irons.... I plan to make a trip down soon but I want to make sure the fish have moved in to the Basin area.... any updates would be appreciated... I am not really interested in OH or Canadian waters.... thanks.....

I read reports on other websites that mentioned some success in the area of Turtle Island.

Fished sunday out of bolles harbor picked up 8 eyes in 14 to 18 feet. Heard of fish being caught out to 22 ft. Harnesses on or near the bottom was good also deeo divuing bombers in charteuse, and deep diving thundersticks. The reports on the vhf were scattered, some were good, most on the slow side. You just have to find biters, the fish are there, and the fishing should only get bettr.
We fished on Tuesday, we caught 12 eyes up to 3lbs all on harnesses. We caught them in 19ft of water at the orange NY E buoy s/e out of Bolles Harbor.
My neighbor in separate boat caught 18 eys same day in 19-23 ft of water.

We were out on sat from Luna Pier caught all our fish in MI waters. Went 6for9 one 23in 5lb the rest were between 2 and 4 pulled all types of cranks, didnt use any live bait. Heard some talk on the radio of limits but I worked hard for the ones I got I'll be out again this sat. I monitor channel 68 my boat is the BLUELOON give me a shout and let me know how your doin. SEE YA ON THE WATER!!!!!!
