Great Salmon trip - Lake Ontario- Niagara

For those of you that like to chase Silver Fish in Lake Ontario: We had a GREAT trip out of St. Catherines this past Sunday with Captain Frank Kittrick on Y-Knot charters. This was our first trip for Spring Cohos. What a blast we had catching 17 cohos on light tackle off planar boards and dipseys. Also got 3 kings off downriggers. Biggest was 19#. We had our limit by 9:15 AM! Did some coho filets on the grill last night and they were excellent. Fished the Canadian side of the Niagara river bar and then dropped down into "the hole" at the mouth looking for a big King. I dropped a pretty good king earlier in the morning and a real nice coho - figured I'd mention that before one of the witnesses got their licks in on me! Towing my boat up in August for a week to go after big kings - I can't wait... Now back to reality and hoping the Lake Erie eyes will turn on.

Well Steve, not just salmon and steelies they have been taking some large eyes there also. Been lots of talk of 11#+ there. USFA has tourney there in August.
