I was thinking about going out of rocky river this weekend for perch/walleye. Was wondering if anyone has had any luck. I have a 22' wellcraft centerconsole. I was going to launch at the ramps in the metroparks marina..do you think there is enough water..anything to watch out for..thanks Jason

River is diffently low, but you should be able to get it in. There are stops at the bottom of the ramp to keep you from going any further in, so don't go to fast down the ramp! We were catching perch right out of the river in 38-42ft of water. If you have no luck there, they have been killing them off the cuyahago river by the light house. As far as the eyes, one report out in 60ft of water, I would head west to Lorain! I have a 19ft. boat that I ramped out of there.
Good Luck!!

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR LARGE PERCH, THE EAST 55TH ST. RAMP IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE. THE FISH ARE JUMPING IN THE BOAT. STOPPED TODAY AFTER WORK AND THEIR EVEN NAILLING THEM OFF THE BREAKWALL. SOME EYES ARE MIXED IN, NOT TOO MANY THOUGH. MINNOS ARE THE HOT TICKET. GOOD LUCK!

there is a hump/sandbar west of the river along the shore "goaldcoast" that has produced well for me in the past. it is a small area close to shore (about 100 yards off I think) I found it by observing a group of bassers fishing it while we were searching on a slow day. sory don't have cordinates or even distance from river. but this little spot has saved the day for me in the past.
lot of work though, making short drifts of about 200 yards we pulled at least 1 fish (not always eyes) on eact drift. my philosophy is fish are fish & I would rather reel in a drum ,white bass, or even goby than an empty lure or drowned worm:)
none the less you may want to find this spot or somthing similar near shore
