Was at my local tackle shop today and saw a new live bait, "chartruse nightcrawlers"! They are actually chartruse in color! Not sure how they got them that way but look real good. The owner told me he just got them the other day. $1.49 dozen. Looked to me like it will make a killer crawler harness rig. Will be using them later this week and will post the results. They should be at most tackle shops this month. Good fishing to all.
There have been posts on these chartruse crawlers for the past two years. The response to those who have fished them -- thus far have been mostly negative. i.e. more fish with the plain crawlers as opposed to the chartruse crawlers.
Give them a try and post your results.
Perhaps the chartruse crawlers this year are the "new and improved version"??
Seriously -- give them a try and share your results -- certainly, cost is not a factor.
Take care

Last year, in the Eastern end of L. Erie, green nightcrawlers were a hot item. There were many good success stories regarding this bait, when used in a worm harness setup. They weren't 'chartreuse' but more of a dark green or a true forest green.
Just thought I'd mention it.

I fished in a 120 man tourney at Lake Erie last weekend. Our team is out of Solon and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Conclusion after using both-- no difference. Will be trying them on the Mississippi for quite some time. We bought 50 dozen. So far I'm the biggest fish to bite. Maybe I'll use them in a tarpon tournament next week in Boca Grande.
