We had a good time. Seems like we could have caught more small wiper than we had room in the boat. We did get into the crappie on the west end of sh@thouse wall- just off the point. Unfortunately, we did not get into any walleye, but had a good time.

How were you catching the wipers and crappie?

I will let you know how I do this weekend.

Did you hear anything about Jumbo Res. (Julesburg)?

We were using a variety of lures, cut it seems that most of the wiper came on a crawdad colored crank-bait. Two different types- i believe my partner was using a small frenzie and I using a walley diver. The crappie came on a gold northland jig with a power-bait curly tail with a minnow attached and a 1/8 oz. green jig with a green curley tail.

also did hear in at the Village Inn that Julesburg was producing better than North Sterling, if you could still get a boat on it. I did not try, as I don't know the reservoir and did not know what they meant when they said that.

Jumbo is alot like Prewitt or Jackson. Ramps are pretty sketchy, no docks, but just about everytime I go to Jumbo I am the only boat on it. Fishing usually sucks as well, but you can fall asleep drifting and only worry about beaching.

Jumbo only gets about 20 feet deep max, but used to produce large walleyes before the DOW actively started managing it, thus ruining the fishing.

Only large rainbows and carp have been caught lately.

Thanks for the info.
