I know of noone who fishes with outriggers on Erie. Those that you see are on boats that come from salt water. Outriggers are designed to position a shallow bait on the wake of a boat trolling faster than anyone fishes for walleyes. The releases are designed for big hard hitting fish (walleyes would not pop them). This is not to say that you could not adapt them to walleye fishing, but it would be like trying to putt with a driver. Why bother, there are betters ways of doing it.

Are you talking outriggers as ETT defins or planer boars, such as mast and skis, allowing you to fish multiple lines out to each side of the boat?
