Does anyone have little or big Bay de Noc report?
Fished Little Bay Thur to Sat night. We caught fish during the day but you had to put in your time. Center bar 13-18 ft and the deeper water off of 1st reef is where we caught our fish. We caught a lot of fish in the narrows but they ran small although it's a good sign for the future. Talked to some guys that said they were doing good in the deep water just south of the narrows. Our most consistant bite was at night on the north end with Saturday being the best, the weather on Thurs seemed to shut things down for a while. Just a word of caution, fished Friday night till about 11 and as we were leaving heard a call put out to the coastguard. 2 fisherman were also up on the northend and when they left they found the sandbar just south of the Days river. They must have been going at a pretty good clip as they were beached 50-60 yrds up on the bar and there was no way we could get to them. I think they were fairly new to the area as they weren't real sure were they were when they put out the call for help. Although we couldn't get to them and didn't feel like we were much help other than giving GPS coordinates to the coast guard we stayed at the edge of the bar till 1 am when the Delta County fire and rescue guys could get there. With air temp in the 40's and water temp in the high 50's that night they were pretty cold by the time the rescue guys got there to help after being in the water trying to push there boat off. With the shallow water and if your not familar with the water this is very easy to do so take it slow and have a blast, there's lots of fish to be caught.
