My wife and I were fishing up at Pymatuning on Saturday and were just wondering how the tournament made out. We caught some nice ones. Fishing seems to be pretty good.

The tournament was pretty good. The wining catch was just over nine pounds. The big fish for the day was a seven pounder. When you say "some nice fish" what size are you talking about and how and where did you catch them, if you don't mind me asking?

Buckeye, first off drifting with a 30" driftsock had minnies, leeches, and crawlers on board, only hitting crawlers. Used light jigs, slip bobbers with jigs around soldiers island area. Also caught some 18"+ fish trolling silver and blue hotntots with clip on weights in 10 to 13' of water. Fish hit when making S bends.
