View Full Version : walleye- huron , vermilion, lorain- ohio
The walleye are starting to be taken in these areas now. the fish seem to be in water depths of water from 18 to 36 foot of water. they arent being taken in large numbers yet, but they are here and what is being caught is of very good size, ranging from 22 to 30 inches with a few being to 31 and 32 inches. the reefrunners, ripsticks, and small scorpian spoons being the baits. the purple colors and gold colors are working good .the main depths for the active fish are 11 to 13 foot, and from 20 to 23 foot down. i hope this helps. have a good weekend, and good luck and good fishin to all. see you all tuesday, i am going fishin too tomorrow( monday)

Den,
Thanks for the good info. Fished Monday afternoon in 4 footers coming out of the north east, with an occasional 6 or even 7 thrown in. We landed four, biggest was 28", ?lbs no scale.
Same program with reef runners(are they selling public stock yet?), except we were also trolling worm harnesses off bottom bouncers and picked up 2. We did lose 4 fish.
I consider that a good day when others were at the ramp telling us we were wasting our time going out. NOW IS THE TIME:) and I'll take what the big pond will give me:) !

Coach, Rocky will do what he can to put you on some fish, but they sill have to be co0operative to get them in the boat. if you get a chance stop in and say hello. good luck and good fishin.
