Fished there this weekend, more boats than keepers. If you like bumper boats than this is the place for you. Plan on at least a half hour to launch and the same to load. The same amount of boats north or south, way too many. Look out for the 40 foot house boats who think they are a 17 footer. They get right in there a troll right with you. But don't worry, they don't mind if they bump into a few boats. The ramps south of town are full with no parking. Have fun, hope your experiance is better than mine, the water is great and the landscape and smell is great, but all of the people stink. It makes fishing hard.

Consider going a little farther to Westbend on Lake Sharpe the bite is very good there in June, it is a beatiful State park with nice facility,s it,s a busy place but you can launch 4 boat,s at a time.If you,re locked into Chamberlain head toward the dam at Big bend there,s good fishing where crow creek comes in about midway between chamberlain and big bend dam. You can fish flats in this area or deep hole,s if it,s windy fish the flats if it,s calm fish the deeper hole,s. also if you go farther toward,s the dam the point,s on the south side of the river will be good, you may have to do some sorting though. If you fish this area it would be better to put in at the ramps below Big Bend it,s only about a 25 mile drive from chamberlain by highway miles. If you have a bigger motor you could run by water it,s a ways though.Start fishing 20ft or less with bottom bouncer and spinner or plain hook and leach or crawler this is your best bet if it,s calm use a 4 or 5 foot leader. go deeper if you cant find them at this depth.

I was there on friday and left on Sunday. Get a slip at Cedar Shores and keep your boat their. We got ALOT of them down in the carptender flats in 8' of water. And yes there was a group who rented the house boat, but we still had a great time. The person who posted above is just pissed for whatever reason. good luck.

If you can, comon out to Fort Peck Lake in MT. There are places on the lake where you may not see another boat all day. Also catch some great eye's in the process. The pike are hungry too.
