Just wanted to let people Know that you can catch walleye in the muddy water. Fished out of bolles on Sat. 5-27, my buddy and I caught 58 walleye between us in a little over 4 hours. Had to come in because our coolers and livewell were all full. Dropped those fish off at the truck, went back out and caught 26 more. That's 84 walleye's in one day of fishing. It took us awhile to clean them all, but I guess that's the price you have to pay. All the fish came on bottom bouncer's an crawler harnesses, chatruce and orange, and gold blades.

Nice goin' man- You're gonna catch a lot a Flak on this one, but I'd rather see you take 'em than them stinkin' commercial jerks (Canadian and American alike). At least you told us where and how you caught 'em. I live on the South shore of the Lake and I couldn't even get out all weekend, thanks to mother nature. Someday (hopefully real soon) we'll get a break and be able to do the same as you-all. Congratulations, and again, Nice Work!!

You better stay clear if you see me out there. I won't stand for any poachers like you. I don't really care about the fish, but without the fish out there I don't get any charters, and with no charters I don't get any money, and that I do care about. So don't mess with me, this is your warning.

Anyone really think this clown was even on the water? This post was obviously intended to stir up the C&R and conservation minded L.E. fishermen and women that read this message board. Ignore and it will go away.

Hey ErieAngler what is the point of fishing if you throw the fish back!! Maybe you should join your local PETA organization so you can help try and stop people from hurting those cut little fishies!! Fishing and hunting are real mens sports, not for little fairies like you.

Ok, I've held off long enough and it's time for a comment. Although it is admirable that you were able to catch a bunch of walleyes last Saturday, it is NOT admirable that you kept all of them. The daily limit for two anglers in Lake Erie is 20 fish and you should have released the rest. When people like you do this sort of thing AND advertise it, you not only give yourselves a bad name but the rest of us honest anglers suffer too. We are not impressed with this type of activity and you should redeem yourselves by sticking to the limit from now on.

Fear not gentelmen, if the DNR has a cyber cop they could track this guy down (through this site and the help of Scott) in short order, after all he has already admitted his guilt. Would make for a hefty fine and good public relations on the DNR's part.

First of all, a SPORTSMAN you aint...A Sportsman respects not only his quarry but the laws as well. This sounds like something from the "good ol' days" in the 40's and 50's. Yeah, and we cleaned them all!! And this is why the fishing and hunting aren't as good as back then..This is why we're are seeing "sportsmen" keeping 13" saugers in the Mississippi River and the limits keep getting smaller. As my son (who someday wants to teach HIS son to fish) says..Your problem is obvious!!
Grow up and be a man, WIMP!!!

#1) Most of the rain wasn't until Late Saturday and all day Sunday, so I highly doubt the water was as Muddy as it was on Monday (Memorial Day) the day I was out, or was it Muddy Saturday.
I will say this my neighbor got 35 between two of em on Friday he is pretty decent but knows when to say when.
I doubt 84 is truthful.
Maybe he is keeping sheepshead white perch and gobies.

If what you say is true why would you brag about breaking the law? You must be a very sick individual to abuse the resources that we all enjoy. I like to catch fish too but I also respect the limits to preserve the sport for years to come. I think you had better not reveal your self on the lake or at the docks or you might get a good whippin.

Do any of you guys actually fish, or do you just like to sit at your computers and whine? I think you all need to get a life, and blueloon you better pack a lunch bird boy!!

O.K. meat hog, if what you say is true("catching 58 walleyes in a little over four hours", that would mean landing a walleye every 4 minutes. Maybe you guys strung up some gill nets or something or how about dynamite!! That might flop 58 walleyes in your boat. I have never heard of such a phenomenal bite or were you using a few extra rods too. (like 12)
By the way the limit is 10 fish.. Your not impressing anybody by posting bogus reports or exaggerating. Hey this site is a good site if everybody would stick to the truth and I know you probably had a good day because I was out the day before and we smacked them pretty hard on rattle tots but lets not get carried away.

Good fishin and seriously save some for me next time

Hey Charlie:

One. I think this guy is a flat liar. You and I were both out there last Saturday and we know what it was like both weather wise and fishing wise.

Two. We had the Michigan DNR on the Pirate Boats yesterday (Thursday 6/1/00) And you can believe I copied this jerks messages and passed a copy on to them. Needless to say they were quite interested in what he had to say. Even after I told them I thought he was lying.

Michigan Sportsman had left the same messages on the General board here on WC too. I told the jerk there, that any one one of the hundred or so captains out there would and will turn him in for this type of violation if we see it. Since we are both out there on a regular basis lets just keep watch a little closer and preserve not only the fish but our livelyhoods as well.

Listen up boy. There is a big difference between a game hog bragging about his or her overkill and a snot nose wannabe like you. The game hog steals from the rest of us while the wannabe just dreams about it. It's all moot anyhow because there is no way you have the ability to handle a boat in the conditions that were present on that day. Let's say you were stupid enough to go out and fish ....or more realistically let's say you are old enough to ride your bicycle by yourself to the dock and ride with someone else who was. You'd have tossed your Captain Crunch over the side just after you turned green unless mommy gave you some dramamine. What grade are you in anyhow? 6th or 7th? By the way young child....I've spent more time and money fighting the small but loud minority of PETA types by trying to portray sportsmen and women as responsible stewards of our resources (not short minded killers) than you will ever spend dreaming about abusing the same resources. Grow up dude.

I dont actually respect that u kept all of those fish. But man that was on ##### of a catch. I dunno what I'd of done in that kinda situation. And dont worry guyz erie is full of those kinda catches, and theres alot more than just 80 fish in that lake so just chill. IT's a good dayz catch. And u charter guyz can take 80 fish a day too if u could. Figure 6 guyz and a captain in his mate. So dont get all mad just cause these 2 guyz caught some fish. CAUSE THERE IS ALOT MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM!!

Son-In-Law fished out of Bolles Sunday using Planer Boards and got skunked on keepers - unusual
I think, but it happened. He got over into Ohio near the Ship Channel - $200 fine ( This youngster works hard for every cent he earns - no warning ), and he is truly a Michigan Sportsman that honors all laws - was no sign saying " Welcome to Ohio ".

I usally don't reply to messages, but after reading all of these I have to say something. To begin with this Michigan Sportsman is full of it! You all know it, so why are you even giving him the time of day. He didn't catch those fish, my guess is he probably wasn't even on the lake. That message was posted just to get everyones juices flowing. Now everyones turning into E-Mail Rambos and falling into his hands. Don't play his game. Everyone knows what the fishing is like on the lake this year. Anyone thats really out there working it hard is bringing in a few at best. The fish are not jumping into the boats like the early 80's fish factory. We had gotten so used to it, guarenteed limits. Lets face it, maybe we're back to just normal now. We might have to spend some time and energy to catch a fish. It was great, it was fun, it's over! Lets let these message boards help (if they can) and not even respond to blowhards like Michigan Sportsman.

Does your son have a GPS? Turtle Island is on the Ohio/Michigan line at N 41-45-15 W 83-20-42 .
The state line runs 45 degrees off the island. As long as you stay away from the line 225 degrees back to island...
