Plan on going out of Au Gres or E. Tawas on the Bay for some "eye" action during the latter part of the month of July. Never fished the Bay before. Currently fish Lake Erie exclusively for "eyes" and seeking some additional challenges. Looking for information regarding typical baits used and previous historical "hotspots" during this time of year. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Try pulling hot n tots off of Linwood and Pinconning in 12-17 ft. of water. This should work well for you. It's a lot like fishing Lake Erie. Good luck. P.S. Take a look at the fish advisory before you eat anything.

Fish Pa's lures and harnesses with big blades Also, very popular are Hot-n-Tots. Try a Hot-n-Tot with a three way with a scorpion spoon.

Charity Islands (Steeples), Gravely shoal area in the outer bay. Shipping canal Buoy #1 and 2 along with Pinconning bar and sailboat buoys in the inner bay all good. Hot spot map will show you these areas.

Thanx for the info. Will try the suggestions and locations. Also, I have a lot of stinger spoons. Will these work as well as the scorpions? Any particular colors which work better during this time of the year?
