Purchasing a new boat. Dealer recommended a tennesee trailer. Never heard of this brand. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I too just purchased a new boat and I got a Caravan bunk trailer. I was cautioned to get a bunk type as my boat is a fiber glass and it sits on the trailer most of the time. The dealer explained that a roller trailer will upset the performance because the rollers will indent the bottom when prolonged sitting on them. The bunks give more support to the hull. Sounds logical. Mine is a 25' and I don't leave it in the water when not in use, plus I trailer to Mich and Superior as well as Lk of the Woods, Lots of miles bouncing and I need all of the support I can get. Doesn't load and unload as well but thats really not that much differant. Good luck FISHING...Kaz

I have a one year old Tennessee Trailer that came with my Crestliner.
The trailer does a good job of hauling the boat and loading and unloading.
Now for the bad news:
There were no side rollers ordered with the original trailer. I had the dealer add them. The paint came off the side rollers and winch bracket and the hubs on the 40 mile trip home from the dealer.
Factory sent new winch bracket and wrong side rollers. Side rollers have been shipped by the factory three times and I still don't have the correct ones.
Factory has offered to paint trailer again if I want to bring it to Tennessee.

I got one with my Crestliner. Bunk type. I'm not an expert like most of the people on here, but it sure looks more solid and well built than a lot of other ones I saw. Very satisfied so far, no complaints. I did add guide bars so I won't screw up as much getting the boat on straight on windy landings.

Tennessee Trailers are great trailers for several reasons: they are custom color matched to the boat, the have a welded frame, the offer all the bells and whistles needed (or wanted), and they tow like a dream. Many people who use the trailers with 18 to 20 foot boats have no problems loading or unloading quickly and accurately, even in windy conditions. I would highly recommend them.
