What was your hot walleye crank (trolling) in 2000? Mine was Storm Thundersticks for water in the 14-18 foot range, #5 Shad Raps in the 8-12 foot depth range.

1999 and earlier - Rapala Husky Jerk
2000 to Present - Reef Runner
I just started running the RR this year and it works any time, any place (well almost :-) ).

Well i tried the reef runners this year, but i failed to catch any walleyes on them, so as in past years the husky jerk has to be #1 with a honorable mention for a skitter-pop for the non-walleye species. MarbleEye's

Wiggle wart in all the colors that look "unnatural". Trying Reef Runners this year.

Storm lightening shads. First year that I ran them and outfished everything else that I put out. LS on one side and anything else I ran on the other. The LS always won. It surprised the heck out of me! My previous go to lure was wiggle warts. I also tried them against thundersticks in different varities and others. Next year it'll probably be something different but the shads shined for me last year. I keep hearing about reef runners. I received a couple as a prize during a fishing seminar and have yet to run them. Maybe I've overlooked a gem. I'll find out in the spring. Good fishing!

Reef Runner Wonderbread, worked great for me last year. First year at walleye for me (replant from South Carolina)

Okay. So what are you going to try this year? Looks like I'll try reef runners or lightning sticks. What depth do they run with 10lb. Trilene?

Mine has been #12 Husky Jerks ( clown ) the last two years. Fished at night, 10ft. Daytime was Wally divers. 15 ft.

Reef Runner Deep Divers hands down the best for me in 2000!!!!!!
Purple Demon in reservoirs along with Chrome / Blue. Looking forward to more time and the Deep Little Rippers in 2001.
