You're talking Bull shoals? Just running a general search on fishing bull shoals should get you something. It will be very typical of the southern highland reserviors. Winter and sring, up near the first dam on the feeder river, after that, run and gun and follow out to main lake.

Norfork Lake is right there at Mountain Home. Look at back issues of Walleye In-Sider or go to PWT site and look in the archives for info on Super Pro held on Norfork a few years back. Norfork is a good lake for Walleyes and even better for hybrid and stripe bass. I go every year for the hybrids when I pick up the new boat. Contact Darrel Binkeley at Bink's Guide service 870-499-7384. He is excellent.

Same question. Wife and I have to be in NW Ark around March 9 and 10 for son's track meet. Thinking of hauling boat down and spending a few days fishing. What's the weather down there around then, and what is the fishing like at that time? Don't care what king of fish, just want to GET ON THE WATER w/o freezing. Catching something would be nice. Anyone on this board familiar with the fishing and weather down there? Bull Shoals, Table Rock Lake, Tanyecomo, Norfolk? Where would you go?

I had been going to Norfork since 1995 at th end of May. The topwater action is great that time of year. It's not unusual to catch stripers, hybreds, white bass, smallmouth and largemouth bass one after the other when you find the schools of shad. I haven't tried walleye fishing, but did catch a 23" on accident. Saw stringers of nice eyes also. Norfolk in March should be very good. Check the archives at this link for more info.

Weather should be great although the chance is there of a late front. Bull Shoals should be good, try the gravel bars and creeks from Buck to Lead Hill. On the other end, From Little Sister to the dam should produce. Normally from late Jan, Feb and the first of March are great. Contact Mitch Glenn at 501-359-2350. Well known guide that lives on Beaver Lake about an hour or so from Bull. A great guy and darn good fisherman.
