I was just wondering what you folks out there are useing now days. There are so many types out there it can get down right complicated. I've been spooling the 4lb fire line and it seems to work well. What type and pound test do you like? I've tried the fluorocarbon but had problems with the knots getting weak from tying them.

I started using Power Pro braided last year and so far I like it. I use 2/10 for most jigging. Thin and sensitive. It coils loose on a spinning spool once in a while, but just casting it out lays it back on the spool. I'm waiting to see if the heavier stuff holds up better than Spider Wire for casting cranks on a baitcast outfit.

Denise - there is a running thread(below) on this issue. Page down until you find it. There are a lot of good insights. I'm
hooked on 4 lb Sensi-thin since it first appeared on the market two years ago. Nice stuff.

Try Tectan Premium 10 lb., it's as thin as conventional 6 lb, has less twist , memory, and stetch More sensitivity) than any other mono I've found. You are going to love it.
